Poughkeepsie Man wins $ 1,000 a week for life at New York Lotto
The man from the Hudson Valley bought the winning ticket at a local gas station.
Hudson Valley Post reported in April that a second-prize winning Cash4Life ticket was sold on Monday April 5 in Dutchess County.
The winning ticket was sold at Shah Gasoline located at 190 Innis Avenue in Poughkeepsie, according to the New York State Lottery. The winning numbers for Monday’s Cash4Life draw were 19-21-26-39-52 with a cash ball of 03. The second prize winning ticket sold to Poughkeepsie hit all numbers except the cash ball.

This week we learned that Gregory Henson from Poughkeepsie is the lucky winner. It tied the first five numbers in the Cash4LIFE April 5 draw and automatically won a second A Week For Life prize of $ 1,000. He was guaranteed to receive at least $ 1 million.
Henson elected to receive his prize in a single lump sum payment of $ 651,000 after the required deductions, according to the New York State Lottery.
The New York Lottery provided $ 49,183,077 in educational lottery assistance to school districts in Dutchess County in the 2019-20 fiscal year.
