SCOTTSBLUFF – The Scottsbluff Police Department investigated a shooting incident at the 1900 block of 6th Avenue around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Police Chief Kevin Spencer said five to six shots were fired at a residence, but no injuries were reported. Investigators are looking for information on two subjects seen in the area just before and immediately after the shooting.

The individuals were described as white males, one taller than the other, in their late teens to mid-twenties. The taller subject was wearing a dark hoodie, while the shorter suspect was wearing a gray hoodie. Both possibly armed with handguns.

Investigators say a vehicle at the scene during the shooting was hit by gunfire and was being processed for evidence. The driver told police he was waiting in the area for a resident of the home that had been hit when the two subjects approached him and began shooting.

Investigators are collecting video evidence in the area that may be made public to help identify suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (308) 632-STOP (7867) or the Scottsbluff Police Department at (308) 436-5088.

The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
