Some Idaho Republicans are now begging the Liberals to register as Republicans and vote in the GOP primary next May. It seems to me like a desperate act. Former state attorney general Jim Jones is described as a “mainstream” Republican by the Associated Press. What are they smoking in this newsroom? Even the guys I call the GOP establishment don’t like Jones. They see him as a renegade and a liberal. If you are asking Liberals to help select our candidates, then yes, you are a Liberal.
It is reheated globalism. His gang gets by first, you are told how to vote and then you get the leftovers.
What Jones fears is Janice McGeachin. Its elitist and country club politics are more in tune with the Bush family, Rockefeller and John Kasich. It is reheated globalism. His gang looks after himself first, you are told how to vote and then you get the leftovers.
The old man really needs a nurse and Gerber for dinner.
What’s scary about McGeachin? She starred in a video last year where she was holding a Bible and a gun. Yes, yes, yes, two things you will never find in an Idaho home! I am facetious. Fools need explanations.
I don’t often support candidates in primary elections, but I’m sure I won’t support Brad Little anymore. The field is large enough that he can still score a victory. Remember, he didn’t come of age in 2018 in a three-way effort.
The argument against McGeachin in the PA story is that the “right” will drive people and businesses out of the state. Idaho has been moving to the right for several years. The hand shooters on the editorial pages have sounded the alarm, and the sound of nail guns in my neighborhood is more common than bird calls. My neighborhood is full of piles of wood and when the work is done it will have tripled in size. Of course, no one wants to live here. It takes me twenty minutes to walk two blocks at noon on a Saturday to get a pizza. Help-seeking signs are all over town.
The grief of Jones and his allies is the cry of the elites who fear sharing power with the serfs. Let them cry!
